Our November “Give Back” Event!

Prairie Glass Studio’s November Give Back event will benefit CASA of Shawnee County. Kansas glass artist Kymm Ledbetter, who owns and operates Prairie Glass Studio in Downtown Topeka, chose CASA  in honor of the 30th anniversary of the CASA Homes for the Holidays Tour.  This year’s tour of five elegant Topeka homes decorated for the Holidays by area florists and designers, will be Nov. 18-19.

Give Back to CASA kicks off with a reception at Prairie Glass, 100 SE 8th Ave., Thursday, Nov. 2,  from 4 to 8 p.m. Tickets for the CASA Home Tour will be for sale at the reception at the advance purchase price of $12.  For every CASA tour ticket purchased, customers will receive a complimentary snow man pin courtesy of Prairie Glass Studio. Complimentary refreshments will also be available. Shelley Ramos, hired in July as CASA’s executive director, will be on hand to greet long-time CASA friends and to meet new CASA friends.

Give Back to CASA continues on “First Friday,” Nov. 3, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., when  50% of the day’s proceeds from Prairie Glass will be donated to CASA of Shawnee County.

“Kymm’s generosity to CASA is extraordinary,” said Ramos.  “We are most grateful to her for not only giving back to CASA, but also for helping us raise awareness about CASA’s important mission to advocate for local children who are in the court system because of abuse and neglect.”
